Healthcare Law

Healthcare law covers a variety of issues including standards of care; compliance with federal and state statutory and regulatory requirements; privileges and credentialing; risk management; and many other factors which affect operations of all healthcare providers.  Changes in healthcare laws and regulations impact daily decisions by hospitals, physicians, durable medical supply companies, and other healthcare professionals.

Pamela Breedlove has experience in healthcare compliance, risk management, patient care issues, employment issues and disputes, contracts, and other general healthcare issues representing small private and public hospitals, physicians, and DME companies in North Louisiana.  She assists healthcare providers in preparing and revising policies and procedures to comply with the Conditions of Participation for Medicare; Louisiana licensing requirements; HIPAA, HI-Tech Act, and Louisiana law regarding disclosure and consent requirements; Stark law requirements; and Anti-Kickback prohibitions.  Pamela also has experience regarding the statutory and constitutional laws that also regulate public hospitals and clinics.

She represents hospitals in RAC Audits and appeals.  She represents DME companies with accreditation and contracting issues.  She represents providers in employment and contract disputes including negotiating these matters before it reaches litigation.  She is available to her clients to answer time sensitive questions via telephone and electronic means as healthcare providers sometimes need an immediate answer to a question that may impact patient care and compliance.

With her experience and understanding of complex healthcare law issues, Pamela Breedlove is also available to mediate disputes, employment and contract negotiations, and disciplinary issues between hospitals, physicians, and other healthcare providers.  If you are a hospital administrator, physician, or other healthcare provider in Louisiana and would like to schedule a consultation regarding healthcare law issues, call Pamela Breedlove at 318-423-0845 for more information.
